Deaths on Minnesota Roads Are Up in 2016

So far this year, 357 people have died on Minnesota roads, according to preliminary figures from the Minnesota State Patrol. That number is up from 355 reported this time last year.

A wintry blast of sleet and snow on the way makes safe driving even more important as Minnesotans travel across the state for the long Thanksgiving weekend.

MSP says "arriving safely" at your destination is simple if you do the following:

• Slow down.
• Buckle up.
• Pay attention.
• Drive sober.
