Dusting Of Snow Possible In Parts Of MN: Weather Forecast

TWIN CITIES, MN — Minnesotans have a rare chance to see some snow this week. But don't get your hopes up, snow lovers, it won't be much more than a dusting in the best-case scenario.

"Increasing clouds tomorrow with a small chance for light dusting of snow at night in central MN," the National Weather Service said.

"Better chance for snow arrives Wednesday night, especially in south-central MN into western WI. Accumulations will be light for most, with the chance for a heavier band to set up in far southern MN. Certainty on the location or existence of that band is low, so stay up-to-date with the forecast to see how it evolves."

The second half of February will be relatively cool compared to what we've had so far this winter.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 37. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 5 mph in the morning.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming southwest after midnight.

Wednesday Night: A chance of rain before 7pm, then a chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 33. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
