7-Year-Old Boy Found Dead In Eden Prairie: Brother Arrested
The 28-year-old brother of a deceased child was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder this week.

EDEN PRAIRIE, MN — A 28-year-old Eden Prairie man was arrested in the death of his 7-year-old brother, police announced.
At about 10 p.m. on Tuesday, officers from Eden Prarie were called to a house in the 9000 block of Lee Drive to conduct a welfare check on a man reportedly in crisis.
At the house, officers found an unresponsive 7-year-old boy. He was transported to Fairview Southdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

The 28-year-old brother of the boy was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder after a medical evaluation and booked into Hennepin County Jail. Formal charges have not yet been filed.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the child as Abdullahi Adod Gelle. His cause and manner of death are being withheld pending further investigation.

The Eden Prairie Police Department, with help from the Hennepin County Crime Lab, is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death and identity of the victim.
