Role of the Library Board
The role of the Library Board in the director selection process is important but limited. It is the Library Board’s responsibility to recommend a candidate to the County Administrator, in this case after holding a public interview of the position finalist.
After receiving the Library Board’s recommendation, the County Administrator hopes to quickly move forward with appointment of the finalist and present the finalist to the County Board for approval at a special County Board meeting on Tuesday, March 17, at 1:30 p.m., in A-2400, of the Government Center.
