Light Snow Will Make Roads Saturday: MN Weather

MINNEAPOLIS — After a warm Friday, light snowstorm will be enough to deteriorate driving conditions this weekend, weather officials warn.

"High temperatures will warm into the upper 40s, with low 50s possible in southern MN," the National Weather Service said. "Cool back to seasonal normals (the 30s) this weekend. Light snow this weekend. Snowfall likely not more than an inch, but will be enough to cause slick roads."

Friday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 49. West southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Snow likely, mainly after 10am. Cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 31 by 5pm. Breezy, with a northwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 32. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 20. West wind around 5 mph becoming south southwest after midnight.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 39. South southwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
