TWIN CITIES, MN — A messy storm featuring snow and rain is set to hit Minnesota early next week, including the Twin Cities metro area.

"A strong winter storm looks possible towards the middle of next week," the National Weather Service said. "Multiple types of precipitation are possible with liquid precip amounts likely exceeding 1 inch."
