Man Dies Several Hours After Shooting In Minneapolis

September 30, 2020 (MINNEAPOLIS) – On Tuesday evening at 8:04 pm, Minneapolis Police responded to a report of a shooting on the 2800 block of Fremont Avenue North.

Officers arrived and located an adult male, believed to be in his late 20’s, suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers provided immediate medical aid and the victim was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital in critical condition.
Preliminary information is that the victim was standing in the area of the 2800 block of Fremont Avenue North when the sound of gunshots were reported. The victim was struck and fell to the ground.

The Minneapolis Crime Lab responded and processed the scene.
Another victim was located a short time later with a graze wound from this same incident.
The Minneapolis Police Department was notified that the victim died several hours after arriving at the hospital.
The identity of the victim, along with the nature and cause of death, will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office in the coming days.
