Man Shot In Residence After Armed Confrontation
Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect and the victim were familiar with each other.

(MINNEAPOLIS) On Monday, March 23, 2020 at 6:53 pm, officers from the Minneapolis Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in a residence on the 1400 block of 17th Avenue North.

Officers arrived and found ab adult male deceased in a residence and the suspects had fled prior to officers arrival. Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect and the victim were familiar with each other and that robbery may have been what sparked the confrontation.
Homicide detectives arrived on the scene and, along with responding officers, interviewed a number of people and gathered video.

The Minneapolis Police Department Crime Lab personnel responded and processed the scene, collecting evidence.
The identity of the deceased, along with the nature and causes of death, will be released by the medical examiner in the days to come.
