MINNEAPOLIS — Nope. It's not just your imagination. It's been an especially cold March, even by Minnesota's frigid standards, the National Weather Service confirms.

If it fails to hit 50 degrees in the Twin Cities by Friday, it will be the first year since 2001 the metro did not reach 50 at least once in the month of March.

Tuesday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 38. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 17. North northwest wind around 10 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 31. North northwest wind around 10 mph.
