March Will Be Hot: MN Weather Forecast

MINNEAPOLIS — If you were expecting winter to make some sort of last-minute arrival in March, don't hold your breath. The latest mid-range forecast from the National Weather Service shows that more heat is on the way.

Forecasters are about 80 percent certain that Minnesota, along with Wisconsin, Michigan, and much of the Northeast, will see above-normal temperatures.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 62. South southeast wind 5 to 15 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 49. Breezy, with a southeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Sunday: A 30 percent chance of rain after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 70. Windy, with a southeast wind 15 to 20 mph becoming south southwest 25 to 30 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.

Sunday Night: A 30 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. Breezy, with a west southwest wind 20 to 25 mph becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

Monday: A 40 percent chance of rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 46. North wind around 15 mph.

Monday Night: A 20 percent chance of rain before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 26. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
