Minneapolis Lyft Driver Shot Overnight

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — A Minneapolis Lyft driver was shot early Wednesday morning, but sustained non-life threatening injuries, according to a report. The incident happened around 4 a.m. on the 900 block of 22nd Street East.

A Minneapolis Police Department spokesman told KARE-TV it’s unclear whether the Lyft driver was on duty when the shooting took place. The driver was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment.

Police said the victim has not been helpful in the investigation and they are attempting to gather more information about the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Minneapolis police at 612-673-2345.
