Minneapolis Police Department Shared 2 Deceased After Late Evening Shooting

Officers arrived and located a vehicle parked on the east sidewalk of the street with two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

February 15, 2021 (MINNEAPOLIS) – At 10:42 pm on Sunday, February 14th, Minneapolis Police responded to 4000 block of 28th Avenue South on a report of a shooting.

Officers arrived and located a vehicle parked on the east sidewalk of the street with two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were deceased. A third person in the vehicle was evaluated by medical personnel and interviewed at the scene. The decedents appear to be adults; one male and one female.

The Crime Lab personnel responded to document the scene and collect evidence. The Homicide Unit sent detectives who started an investigation.

The Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim, along with the nature and cause of death in the days to come.
