UPDATE: Missing Adult, Toddler Found Safe

A 22-year-old and her 14-month-old brother were found safe after going missing Friday, according to Minneapolis police.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Minneapolis police announced Tuesday that a previously missing adult female and a toddler have been found safe. The two went missing Friday.

The missing persons have been located SAFE and are back with their family. Thank you to our COMMUNITY and MEDIA for helping us get the word out! You are amazing!!

Officers from Minneapolis' Fourth Precinct first responded to a report of a missing person on Oct. 31 at about 5:31 p.m. on the 1600 block of Newton Avenue North.

When officers arrived, they learned that Cha’Tasia Jaree Buchanan, a 22-year-old adult female, had left the house on Friday, Oct. 28, with Triston James Alvin, her 14-month-old brother. Police were told they were on foot, headed towards Wally’s Foods, 1840 Penn Avenue North.

Buchanan was described to police as vulnerable adult and Alvin has a heart murmur, according to a news release.
