Minneapolis Police's Discovery Of Body In Car Leads To Suspicious Death Investigation

May 29, 2020 (MINNEAPOLIS) Friday morning at 3:16 am, two Chiefs from the Minneapolis Police Department were on patrol when they were flagged down by a motorist who explained they found a car with a person in it that appeared to be deceased.

That person lead them to the area of 17th and Bryant Avenue North where they found a car in the middle of the street. In the back seat they located a woman, believed to be in her 30’s, deceased. There was trauma visible on the decedent’s body, so a suspicious death investigation was initiated.
With so much unknown in this case, detectives were called in to investigate.

The Minneapolis Crime Lab responded and processed the scene and collected evidence.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will release the nature and cause of death, along with the identity of the decedent in the days to come.
