Minneapolis Ranked Best Large City For Biking In The Country

MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis is the best large city for biking in the country, according to a recent ranking from bike advocacy organization PeopleForBikes.

The group this week released its 2023 ratings of 1,484 U.S. cities. The ratings use data to identify and compare bike-friendly cities and assign them a score of 0-100. Large cities with a score of 50 or higher are considered great places to bike, and Minneapolis scored 68.

Minneapolis was followed in the rankings by San Francisco, with a score of 63, and Seattle, with a score of 62.

California cities Davis and Berkeley were the top medium bike-friendly cities in the country, followed by Boulder, Colorado. The top small cities were Provincetown, Massachusetts; Crested Butte, Colorado; and Blue Diamond, Nevada.
