Minneapolis Shooting Victim Dies At Hospital: Police

An adult male died following a Sunday morning shooting in Minneapolis, and police are asking the public for information about the incident.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — A man is dead following a Sunday-morning shooting that occurred in Minneapolis, according to police. The victim, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, died Monday morning at North Memorial Medical Center.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, officers responded to the 2200 block of Sixth Street North on a report of a ShotSpotter activation. Minutes later, officers were advised that a shooting victim was located on the 2000 block of Washington Avenue North.

Officers arrived on Washington Avenue and found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he initially was listed in critical condition.

Officers and investigators canvassed the crime scene areas, and have since opened a homicide investigation. The name of the victim, as well as the nature and exact cause of death, have not yet been released.
