Minneapolis Teacher Wins Five-Game Streak On Jeopardy
Sam Kavanaugh, 28, brought his total winnings up to more than $150,000 Tuesday and will compete again today.
Minneapolis teacher Sam Kavanaugh is on a roll, winning five straight games on the popular show “Jeopardy!” Kavanaugh, a Carlton native, won $42,401 on Tuesday’s show, bringing his total winnings to $156,202.
Kavanaugh, 28, is the son of two Duluth schoolteachers, according to the Duluth News Tribune. On Tuesday, he beat a pair of Californians to keep his streak alive.

Kavanaugh will compete Wednesday for a sixth win. “Jeopardy!” airs at 4:30 p.m. on NBC (KARE-TV.)
