Minneapolis Teen Identified As Victim Of Shooting

As police responded to a vehicle accident call, they found the driver had been shot. He was identified as a Minneapolis teen.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- A Minneapolis teen has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday night. As police responded to a call about a vehicle accident, they found the driver dead in the vehicle.

Austin James Owen Young, 17 was the victim of the deadly shooting, according to a report by Twin Cities.

Around 10:37 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to a 911 call about a car crash at the intersection of 26th Avenue North and Knox Avenue North, finding the male driver unresponsive upon arrival. Once they saw he was shot, they called paramedics from North Memorial Heath Hospital, who pronounced him dead on the scene.

Twin Cities reported that according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office, Young was killed by gunshot wounds to the head and neck.

Officers canvassed the area, searching for a suspect, but have not made any arrests yet.
