MINNESOTA — Four coronavirus-related deaths were reported Monday, including one case involving a child under the age of 6. The child's exact age was not made public by the Minnesota Department of Heath.

The child lived in Clay County.

Monday marks the first time someone under the age of 20 has died of COVID-19 in Minnesota. Prior to Monday, two people in the 20 to 29 age range died from the virus.

In Minnesota overall, 1,545 people have died from COVID-19. Of those, 1,187 were people who lived in long-term care or assisted living facilities.

A total of 47,107 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the state. Of those, 40,742 no longer need to be isolated.

Minnesota health officials reported 922 new cases of the virus Monday.
