Minnesota Confirms 22 More COVID-19 Deaths, Nearly 700 New Cases

ST. PAUL, MN — The Minnesota Department of Health Sunday confirmed 22 more deaths from COVID-19, and added 699 cases of the virus to its statewide total. The state now has 15,668 total cases as of Sunday afternoon.

Totals from Sunday from the Minnesota Department of Health:

Total positive cases: 15,668

• Number of health care workers: 1,811

Total cases requiring hospitalization: 2,090

• Hospitalized as of Sunday: 487
• Hospitalized in ICU as of Sunday: 221

Patients no longer needing isolation: 10,897

Deaths: 722

• Deaths among cases that resided in long-term care or assisted living facilities: 587
