MN Snow System Incoming: When And How Much To Expect?
Wednesday night commuters in the Twin Cities metro area should be prepared to hit snow, according to the latest forecasts.

MINNEAPOLIS — A snowstorm bringing somewhere between a dusting and a couple of inches of snow is headed for the Twin Cities metro area and much of central Minnesota. An inch of snow accumulation is currently the most likely amount for most of the metro, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday night commuters should be prepared to hit snow. The snowstorm is expected to last from around 6 p.m. Wednesday through midnight Thursday.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 37. North northwest wind around 5 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. East southeast wind around 5 mph becoming south southwest after midnight.
Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of snow, mainly after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Wednesday Night: Snow likely, mainly before midnight. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 25. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 33. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 15. West northwest wind around 10 mph.
Friday: A 20 percent chance of snow before noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 24. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 11. Northwest wind around 15 mph.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 29. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
