MN Weather: Hail, Tornados Possible In Twin Cities Metro Monday

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather alert for the Twin Cities metro area Monday.

TWIN CITIES, MN — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather alert for the Twin Cities metro area Monday.

"Two rounds of thunderstorms are possible today," the National Weather Service said.

"The first round will occur this morning across central and western Minnesota with large hail the main threat. A second round may occur this afternoon and evening across eastern Minnesota and Wisconsin. Large hail, damaging winds, and a tornado or two are possible with that round. Strong south winds are expected today with gusts of 45 to 50 mph possible."
