MN Weather: Heat Wave Incoming

TWIN CITIES, MN — The temperatures in central Minnesota will slowly climb into the 90s by the end of this week.

"We have one word to describe the temperature outlooks beginning later this week.... Oofda," the National Weather Service said.

Monday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 7am. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Breezy, with a west northwest wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 66. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 84. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
