MN Weather: Strong Storms Thursday Night, Friday
Up to a quarter of an inch of rain could fall Friday night.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Following a sunny Wednesday and Thursday, strong storms will make their way into central Minnesota Friday. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain could fall Friday night.
"Scattered thunderstorms could develop late Thursday, Thursday night, and Friday," the National Weather Service said. "A few may become severe with large hail and damaging winds."

Thursday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 93. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
Thursday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. South wind 10 to 15 mph.
Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. South wind 10 to 15 mph.
Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. South southeast wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
