More Snow In Twin Cities Forecast: MN Weather

MINNEAPOLIS — Following a warm and rainy start to the week, normal winter weather will return to the Twin Cities metro area with a moderate snowstorm, according to the National Weather Service.

"Confidence continues increasing for several inches of snow Wednesday night into Thursday across the region, particularly from southern Minnesota into western Wisconsin," the National Weather Service said.

Patch will continue to provide updates as the system approaches.

Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of snow, mainly before 7am. Cloudy, with a high near 34. Northwest wind around 10 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east northeast in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Snow. Low around 25. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Thursday: Snow likely, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
