MPD Recognized For Mentoring Young Men At The Redwing Correctional Facility

We were honored to receive the President’s Award at the 2019 Minnesota Corrections Association Fall Conference in Nisswa!

MPD frequently mentors young men at the Redwing Correctional Facility. The award is given to programs working in the broad field of corrections and criminal justice that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, effectiveness and innovation.

Officers also presented a break-out session at this conference, where we discussed the Redwing Initiative and shared some personal stories.
