'No Shots Were Fired' At Target Center In Minneapolis: Police

Minneapolis Police say officers responded to a fight in the Target Center but have not found evidence of gunshots.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — A fight broke out at the Target Center in Minneapolis Saturday night, but police say evidence of gunshots has not been found.

Police had received a report about potential gunshots at the entertainment venue around 08:53 p.m. Saturday. Working with security, police confirmed there were no gunshots and have not found evidence of a gun.

The incident was a fight inside the concourse, according to police. The fight was brought under control as police and other law enforcement remained in the facility.

According to the Target Center's schedule, the Minnesota State High School League Boys Basketball State Tournament was scheduled to wrap up Saturday at the venue.

Police advised anyone picking up people from the Target Center to visit Hennepin Avenue and 7th Street.
