One Dead In Early-Morning Minneapolis Shooting
Police are searching for a suspect in the shooting, which took place near the intersection of Washington and North First avenues.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Police are searching for a suspect following an early-morning shooting Sunday that left one person dead. The incident happened near the intersection of Washington Avenue and North First Avenue in Minneapolis.
According to Minneapolis police, first responders received a call just before 2 a.m. and arrived to the scene, where they found an unresponsive adult male in the road. An officer performed CPR until additional law enforcement personnel and paramedics arrived and transported the victim to Hennepin Health Care. The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Investigators from the Minneapolis Police Department Homicide Unit interviewed people at the scene of the incident and are following up on potential leads. Police said the incident may be traffic related. No one is in custody at this time.
