One Deceased In Overnight Shooting In Minneapolis

August 30, 2020 (MINNEAPOLIS) At 12:05 am on Sunday morning, Minneapolis Police responded to numerous ShotSpotter activations in the area of the 2400 block of Emerson Avenue North.

Officers arrived and located, what is believed to be, an adult male deceased inside a vehicle on that block. The Victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators arrived on the scene and assisted in canvassing the area. The Minneapolis Police Department Crime Lab responded and documented the scene and collected evidence.

The Office of the Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim, along with the nature and cause of death in the days to come.
