One Injured In Exchange Of Gunfire With Minneapolis Police
The suspect vehicle crashed at the intersection of Dowling and Vincent Avenue North.

January 14, 2021 (MINNEAPOLIS) – On Thursday morning at 8:22 am, Minneapolis Police responded to the area of Logan and Lowry on a report of a gun pointing incident. Within a minute, the suspect and vehicle were located. Officers attempted to pull the vehicle over but the driver refused to stop.

The suspect vehicle crashed at the intersection of Dowling and Vincent Avenue North. At that location, gunfire was exchanged between the suspect and officers. The shooting stopped, and when safe to do so, officers deployed less lethal munitions. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No officers were injured physically during this incident.
The scene was secured, and the BCA has been called in to handle this investigation. The MPD is cooperating fully in this investigation.
