MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesotans might get a taste of winter, but it'll arrive on the second day of spring.

A snowstorm on track to hit Minneapolis later this week has the "potential" to drop between 3 to 6 inches of accumulating snow, according to AccuWeather. The storm "will draw in cold air and result in the first snowfall in weeks," the outlet's latest forecast notes.

Minneapolis has only seen about 14.3 inches of snow all winter in Minneapolis, down 31 inches from the season average.

The National Weather Service has not yet released any specific amounts for the upcoming snowstorm, but notes that: "Thursday's system will bring measurable snow and much-needed precipitation to the region."
