Prison Inmate In MN Pleads Guilty In Case Of Drug-Soaked Mail
Nickolas William Mihelic, 39, pleaded guilty on Monday in federal court to attempting to obtain contraband in prison, officials said.

MINNEAPOLIS — An inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution in Sandstone, Minnesota has admitted to his role in a scheme involving drug-soaked mail, U.S. Attorney Andrew Luger announced Wednesday.
Nickolas William Mihelic, 39, pleaded guilty on Monday in federal court to attempting to obtain contraband in prison, officials said. A sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled.
Mihelic conspired with another person — who has not been charged — to mail pieces of paper to him at FCI Sandstone that were soaked with liquid methamphetamine, according to authorities.

Mihelic and the co-conspirator tried the mail scheme twice, on two separate dates in February and March, investigators said.
Prison officials seized the papers when they arrived, according to authorities.
