MINNEAPOLIS — Showers and thunderstorms will kick off a cooler period for weather in the Twin Cities metro area.
"Today will likely be our last shot at seeing a high of 90 through the middle of August," the National Weather Service said.
"Saturday, rain will start pushing into western MN, with widespread rainfall expected Saturday night into Sunday. Next week, temperatures will be much milder, with rain chances picking up again mid-late week."
