TWIN CITIES, MN — To say that Minnesota is about to experience weather whiplash almost feels like an understatement.

Highs will approach 90 degrees on Thursday, possibly breaking records, and we'll have another warm day in the 80s on Friday.

Fire danger remains "high" in in the southern half of the state, thanks to the warm, dry, and windy conditions.

But things quickly change Saturday, when the high will drop down to 52 degrees. Residents should prepare for rain with a possible thunderstorm.

That rain could change to snow overnight, according to the National Weather Service. "New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible," the NWS notes.
