One Dead In Small Plane Crash In Hennepin County: Update
The crash happened near the Crow River late Saturday morning, according to reports.
HENNEPIN COUNTY, MN — One person is dead following a small plane crash that happened Saturday just outside the Twin Cities metro. According to reports, the crash happened near the Crow River, near the Crow Hassan Park Reserve, late Saturday morning.
Emergency responders confirmed the death, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported.
Authorities told ABC 5 the plane went down on the southwest side of the Crow River. The plane was reported to have caught fire when it went down.

Scanner reports said the plane departed from an airport in Princeton, Minnesota, around 11:30 a.m., the Star-Tribune reports. The fixed-wing single-engine Beech Aircraft was in the air for just 11 minutes.
A North Memorial Air Care helicopter was sent to the scene.
