Snow Showers Possible Tuesday: MN Weather

MINNEAPOLIS — A developing snowstorm will mostly miss Minnesota but hammer Wisconsin on Tuesday. Minnesotans along the border should expect some snowfall.

"Scattered snow showers will phase to all rain this afternoon before transitioning once again to all snow tonight," the National Weather Service said.

"Up to an inch or less of total snow is expected for areas mainly east of the I-35 corridor through Wednesday afternoon. Winds will become breezy late Tuesday into Wednesday. Clearer skies and warmer temps will wrap up the week."

Tuesday: A chance of rain and snow showers before 1pm, then a slight chance of rain showers after 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. North wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Tuesday Night: A chance of rain showers before 8pm, then a chance of rain and snow showers between 8pm and 10pm, then a chance of snow showers after 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. Blustery, with a north wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 49. Breezy, with a north wind around 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. Windy, with a north wind 25 to 30 mph decreasing to 15 to 20 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 50. North wind around 15 mph.
