TWIN CITIES, MN — Prepare for a weather whiplash. After highs in the 60s on Monday, there will be a chance for snow as a blast of arctic air will cause temperatures to nosedive.

Wind chills are expected to fall well below zero degrees.

"The falling temperatures will be accompanied by gusty winds, which in turn will drop wind chills below zero by this evening," the National Weather Service said. "Wind chills will range from -10 degrees to -20 degrees overnight."

Tuesday: A chance of flurries between 3pm and 4pm, then a chance of snow after 4pm. Partly sunny, with a temperature rising to near 43 by 11am, then falling to around 27 during the remainder of the day. Breezy, with an east wind 10 to 15 mph becoming northwest 20 to 25 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tuesday Night: A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly before 8pm. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 7. Wind chill values as low as -11. Blustery, with a north northwest wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 22. Wind chill values as low as -12. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
