Suspect Sustains Non-Life-Threatening Wound After Armed Confrontation With Police
Officers made contact with an adult male, believed to be in his 40s, who was the driver of the vehicle.

September 29, 2020 (MINNEAPOLIS) – At 6:10 PM officers from the Third Precinct arrived on a motor vehicle crash on the 2700 block of Bloomington Avenue South. This was a one vehicle crash off the roadway.

Officers made contact with an adult male, believed to be in his 40s, who was the driver of the vehicle.
There was an armed confrontation and shots were fired. The suspect fled on foot.

Officers located the suspect hiding a short distance away and recovered a gun.
The suspect was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
No officers were physically injured during this incident.
