Teen Escapes MN Correctional Center: Sheriff
Authorities believe the 18-year-old left the Northeast Regional Correctional Center on foot.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MN — An 18-year-old incarcerated on a second-degree assault conviction has escaped from the Northeast Regional Correctional Center (NERCC), according to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.
At about 11:40 a.m. on Friday, NERCC staff at the center called 911 to report Christopher Orr was unaccounted for, authorities said.

Orr was last seen on the facility grounds about an hour earlier, according to the sheriff's office.

Authorities said Orr likely left the facility on foot and was last seen wearing an orange hat, blue denim jacket, and black pants.
Orr is from Indiana and has no known local ties, according to the sheriff's office. Early attempts to find him were unsuccessful, authorities said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
NERCC is a minimum security prison in Saginaw, Minnesota where inmates perform daily work responsibilities as a part of their rehabilitation activities.
