Thunderstorms To Develop Wednesday: MN Weather

TWIN CITIES, MN — Severe weather could develop in the Twin Cities metro area Wednesday.

"Scattered thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and early evening as a cold front sags through," the National Weather Service said.

"A couple storms could become severe with large hail and damaging winds. The greatest coverage of storms is expected across eastern MN and WI."

Wednesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 85. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Wednesday Night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. North wind around 5 mph.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers before 10pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 10pm and 1am, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1am. Low around 65.
