Two Injured in Downtown Shooting Near Gay 90's

Police say a man was shot in the hip and a woman was shot in the arm early Tuesday in downtown Minneapolis.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — One man was shot in the hip and a woman was shot in the arm early Tuesday near the Gay 90's nightclub in downtown Minneapolis. Officers from the First Precinct responded to 400 block of Hennepin Avenue South at approximately 2:12 a.m., on a report of the sound of gunshots.

The call was updated to a shooting when one of the 911 callers reported a male had been shot.

When officers arrived they located two adult victims with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Officers provided medical care to a male who had been shot in the hip and to a female who had been shot in the left arm, according to a news release.

Both victims were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) by paramedics.

Officers interviewed witnesses at the shooting scene and are checking with business owners in the area to see if the shooting was captured on surveillance cameras. No arrests have been made.

Officers from the First Precinct will be in the area of the shooting Tuesday speaking with business owners and community members.
