UPS Hiring Nearly 800 Seasonal Employees In Twin Cities Metro

UPS is hiring driver positions beginning at $23 per hour, package handler positions at $21 per hour, and driver helpers starting at $18.40.

MINNEAPOLIS — The United Parcel Service (UPS) plans to hire nearly 800 people seasonal employees in the Twin Cities metro area for the holiday shipping season.

UPS is hiring driver positions beginning at $23 per hour, package handler positions at $21 per hour, and driver helpers starting at $18.40.

"From package handlers to drivers, we have a role that suits your lifestyle and your interests. My advice to anyone who’s looking for a seasonal job, picture yourself in UPS brown," talent acquisition supervisor Shane Smith said in a news release.

"For those who are looking, seasonal positions are a great way to get a foot in the door for a permanent role, which can lead to a long-term career. For permanent employees, UPS boasts an 86 percent promotion from within rate."

People who are interested can apply at UPSjob.com. The company said that many applicants will have a job offer in less than 20 minutes. Seasonal employees and current UPS employees can also get $250 for successful referrals.
