After an unseasonably warm weekend, expect things to cool off in the Twin Cities later this week.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Following an unseasonably warm weekend, expect the mild temperatures to continue Monday before things cool off in the Twin Cities. Highs in the metro will dip to the lower 60s on Tuesday before falling to the 50s on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Monday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1:00 p.m. Patchy fog before 9:00 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 71. South wind around 5 mph becoming east in the afternoon. Monday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 1:00 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. North northeast wind around 5 mph becoming northwest in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 64. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 46. West wind around 5 mph.
