Weekend Weather Forecast: MN Turns Up The Heat

Temperatures will rise this weekend, and approach 100 degrees later in the week, according to the National Weather Service.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Following cool, autumn-like weather, hot summer temperatures will return this weekend. The high Saturday and Sunday will rise to around 90 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will approach 100 degrees on Wednesday.

"Plenty of sunshine over the next few days alongside cooler temperatures, followed by warmer temperatures into the weekend and next week," the NWS said. "Next chance for thundershowers comes Sunday into Monday. Severe weather not expected."

Looking at the nationwide forecast, temperatures in early August will rise to levels not seen since the all-time record highs that were set in June 2021, according to AccuWeather meteorologists.
