Wind Chill Advisory Goes Into Effect Thursday Night: MN Weather

MINNEAPOLIS — The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory Thursday through Friday morning. Expect wind chills in the Twin Cities metro area to reach 25 degrees below zero.

"Make sure to wear proper winter clothing with multiple layers if you will be outside," the NWS warned.

Thursday: A chance of flurries before 9am. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a temperature falling to around 0 by 5pm. Wind chill values as low as -18. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around -15. Wind chill values as low as -26. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph.

Friday: Partly sunny and cold, with a high near 5. Wind chill values as low as -23. Light and variable wind becoming south southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a temperature rising to around 9 by 4am. Wind chill values as low as -14. South wind 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming west northwest after midnight.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
