Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Twin Cities Metro: MN Weather
"Total snow accumulations of up to 3 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze," the National Weather Service said.

TWIN CITIES, MN — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for several countries across the Twin Cities metro area and central Minnesota, including Hennepin, Anoka, Ramsey, Washington, Carver, Scott, Dakota, Chisago, and Wright.
The advisory will be in effect from noon Tuesday to noon Wednesday. Another advisory could be issued after that.
"Mixed precipitation expected," the NWS said. "Total snow accumulations
of up to 3 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze."

Winds gusts could reach as high as 50 mph and bring down tree branches, weather officials warned. Drivers should drive slowly and plan on slippery road conditions.

Tuesday: Rain, possibly mixed with snow and sleet before 4pm, then rain, possibly mixed with sleet. High near 36. Breezy, with an east southeast wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tuesday Night: Rain. Low around 34. Breezy, with an east southeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Wednesday: Rain likely, mainly before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 39. East wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Wednesday Night: A chance of rain before midnight, then rain and snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Thursday: Snow, possibly mixed with rain and freezing rain before 2pm, then snow, possibly mixed with rain between 2pm and 5pm, then snow after 5pm. High near 36. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Thursday Night: Snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. Northwest wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Friday: A 40 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 28. West northwest wind around 15 mph.
