Eden Prairie cancels homecoming dance after shooting (eplocalnews.org) — Minnetonka families should know that Eden Prairie High School canceled its homecoming dance after two people were shot outside Friday's Eden Prairie–Minnetonka football game, though neither victim attends Minnetonka or Eden Prairie schools. Police say the targeted shooting left both victims with non-life-threatening injuries, the game will resume Monday, and officials are planning support for returning students.
3. Bobby Brink's mission: 'Be undeniable' for Wild (inforum.com) — A Minnetonka native is chasing a bigger role with the hometown Wild. Winger Bobby Brink, a former state prep champion from Minnetonka, spent the offseason adding strength and sharpening his two-way game after limited playoff minutes, hoping to become "undeniable" in the lineup alongside Ryan Hartman and Yakov Trenin.
4. Eden Prairie Police share new details in an apparent gang-related shooting at homecoming (kstp.com) — A homecoming football game between Eden Prairie and the Minnetonka Skippers was halted when gunfire erupted in the Eden Prairie High School parking lot, injuring two teens. Eden Prairie police say the shooting appears gang-related and tied to Somali gang activity, and they're still seeking tips from anyone who witnessed the fight and subsequent shooting.
