Coldwell Banker Burnet’s Eric and Sharla Stafford Host Fundraiser for Bridging

Eric and Sharla Stafford, Coldwell Banker Burnet Realtors in Minnetonka, invited their clients and friends to their Fourth Annual Morning Movie Event and Fundraiser featuring Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax. This year, in conjunction with Coldwell Banker Burnet’s Foundation, they supported Bridging, a Twin Cities based non-profit organization that provides families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty with a onetime gift of quality furniture and household goods. The organization gives 275 pillows to more than 75 families every week.  To fulfill this need, all movie guests were asked to bring a pillow for Bridging.

More than 170 people attended the event and generously donated 99 pillows and $365 for Bridging, which is enough to help 50 families in the community.  Plus, Fran Heitzman, founder of Bridging, kicked off the event and spoke to the audience about Bridging and what everyone can do to help meet its needs. His speech was followed by the movie.

“We’re thrilled that our clients and friends came out to support such a great cause,” said Eric Stafford. “A great time was had by all.”
