Announcing Andrea Noteboom’s New Minnetonka Studio
Andrea Noteboom offers private violin and viola lessons, group lessons, and chamber music classes for children and adults in the convenient location of her new Minnetonka studio. She teaches students of all ages and abilities in both Suzuki and traditional methods.

While passionate about both teaching and performing, her greatest love is helping children and adults grow through the study of music. She believes that music nurtures the whole person.

Andrea has been on the faculty of the MacPhail Center for Music for thirteen years, where she teaches Suzuki violin at the downtown MacPhail building and at the Ascension School in Minneapolis in the renowned Ascension School Intercity Program.

Andrea has an impressive educational background. At Saint Olaf College she received a double bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance and Psychology. She was concertmaster of the orchestra and toured to Europe. She did her graduate work at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she earned a double master’s degree in Violin Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy.

In summers, she attended the Bravo, Madeline Island, and Aspen music festivals. She received awards from the YPSCA, Thursday Musical, The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and Schubert Club competitions.

Andrea is an active violinist in the Twin Cities area. She has performed with local orchestras, including the Minnesota Opera Orchestra, Minnesota Sinfonia, Saint Olaf College Choir and Orchestras, and the MacPhail Center for Music Faculty Orchestra. She is a founding member of ARCO Strings, and plays with other groups at various functions such as corporate events and weddings.
