Let's Talk Vikings: Vikings Shut Out Texans, Win Big

The Vikings dominated every aspect of the game and destroyed the Houston Texans, winning 28-0.

On Thursday night, the Viking ended their season on a high note as they played host to the Houston Texans. The Vikings defense looked great, recording 3 sacks, an interception, and a fumble. Also, young quarterbacks Christian Ponder and Joe Webb got many snaps as they split the game 1/2 and 1/2.

After a scoreless 1st quarter, the Vikings scored on a touchdown pass from Ponder to rookie tight-end Kyle Rudolph. In the 3rd quarter, running-back Alexander Robinson ran it in for a touchdown. In the 4th quarter, Vikings running-back Caleb King scored 2 touchdowns. The final score was 28-0, Vikings.

Christian Ponder went 10/17 on pass attempts, for 83 yards, and 1 touchdown. He also ran 8 times for 61 yards. Ponder was slow to get into a rythm, but eventually did and looked great in the 2nd quarter.

The Vikings have many tough decisions to make regarding who goes and who stays. I think the Vikings played well tonight, and it really showed in the score of the game. The defense looked solid and the Vikings offense played really well, especially the running game. The Vikings 1st regular season game is Sunday, September 11 at 3:15 PM. I am really looking forward to this season!
